We needed a comprehensive MDM solution that will help our organization to manage and secure our mobile devices, apps and content. IBM Security MaaS360 enables my organization to manage a wide range of mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets and laptops, regardless of the (OS, Android, Windows). It also helps us through enforcing security policies, such as passcode requirements, encryption settings and remote wipe capabilities to offer protection to our most sensitive data incase any device is lost or stolen.
  • Enables my organization to manage a wide range of mobile devices like laptops and smartphones.
  • Helps to enhance security policies such as passcode requirements and encryption settings.
  • Protects sensitive data in case a device is lost or stolen.
  • Customer support is great.
  • Seamless integrations.
  • Setting up and configuring IBM Security MaaS360 may require a learning curve especially for the non-technical users.
  • Cost can be also a challenge as this tool may come up with significant cost particularly for the organization with large numbers of devices to manage.
I would highly recommend IBM Security MaaS360! Because it's a comprehensive mobile device management solution to manage and secure large numbers of devices, including smartphones, tablets and laptops across multiple environment. IBM Security MaaS360 enables organizations to manage and secure a wide range of mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets and laptop. It provides centralized control over device settings, configurations and policies, allowing IT administrators to enforce security measures and ensure compliance across the mobile fleet. The registration process of devices is very easy to follow.
  • Easy to use and manage
  • Easy configuration and control of mobile devices on various platforms.
  • The interface is very user friendly
  • User account password reset is hard
  • Some security features are limited to certain Android/IOS versions.
  • Bit slow to load sometimes
I recommend it, We solved the challenge of controlling business devices by putting controls and regulations to them. There is also the option of remotely installing software and managing all devices from a single console. The manager is a joy to work with and provides comprehensive control, allowing us to operate the devices pretty easily.

  • It was seemless to use with my phone
  • It was easy to use from a user perspective
  • It seemed to just work and stay out of the way, unless needed
  • From my perspective it just worked.

Great capacity for centralization and control of each device, whether mobile or desktop, existing in each of the company's departments. The protection is completely reliable, so we will be free from those malicious threats that exist on the networks. It must be taken into account that protection in the organization is the most important thing, so we avoid a lot of wasted time that can be used for business production. IBM Securyti MaaS with Watson, you also have top-of-the-line features for handling missing files, it crashes with great ease.
  • Various types of terminals for the computer and different mobiles, very useful.
  • Control from a central headquarters of each of the company's devices.
  • Authenticating it is usually uncomfortable, it should be easier.
  • Something essential that this tool does not have are email notifications.
  • Another no less important thing, the screenshot is not possible, this must be taken into account.
Highly recommended if you want to maintain control and full protection of each of the organization's devices. This tool is essential, being your company large or medium-sized, so it will keep the devices protected from any threat that may arise for the total lack of control of the business future. It is easy to use and you do not need to be an expert to install it; Secondly. It has a great technical service that always attends when you need it.

We implemented MaaS360 for a customer who had a bad experience with a competitive product. They wanted complete control and visibility of devices on their network.

We use it to control data usage on our 75 deployed iPads. We know if the devices are being utilized and limit the use of these devices to corporate interests. We know the location and can reassign an iPad as needed to a different or new user. There are less employee calls for support as we can tailor the applications to minimize the variations in setup.
  • Data usage. It allows shared data plans that minimize costs.
  • It allows deployment of new applications with minimum interaction with users.
  • It allows constant location information and we know if an iPad is lost sometimes before the device user knows it is missing.
  • Simplify the set up of the account. The time required by an it ameture is excessive.
  • Reduce the cost of the per device subscription
  • Allow simplified device management
For new device setup and deployment it’s fairly easy. Getting off the ground with the initial setup is tough. It needs to be easier to get going. Training a new device manager is not straightforward. It requires too much tutoring to get someone proficient in changing, adding, and deleting devices.

It's a highly efficient security system for protecting our data, apps, and content on the network as well as on various devices. It is user-friendly, and we have installed it on laptops, desktops as well as on mobiles. It provides real-time threat detection and is compatible with IOS, Windows, and Android systems too. We can remotely install software and manage devices.
  • Real-time threat protection.
  • Secure data, apps, and content on various devices.
  • User-friendly interface.
  • Various devices can be managed from a single console.
  • Adaptation with OS upgrade.
  • Email notification.
  • Easier account password reset.
Its user interface is really superb. It can be easily integrated with various platforms and therefore it can be installed easily on different kinds of devices. The only concern is pricing. 5 USD per device makes it a costly affair for large organizations. Therefore, we have installed it on limited devices of upper management people.

We are both a mobility reseller and a security consultancy for a large number of organizations. Specific to security, our customers have a wide list of mobile device usage requirements which present a vast array of security concerns as it relates to the protection of IP, Regulatory compliance, and control of business-focused usage during the work day.
As such, it is our job to present resolutions to these challenges, which are addressed both by written policy and the implementation of an MDM solution.
  • Properly configured workflows make for easy ongoing management and tweaks to the management of enrolled mobile devices
  • Granular functionality which can be used to address many complex configuration requirements
  • Best in Class support and product education resources by comparison to competing MDM solutions.
  • In dashboard help verbiage
  • Simpler customization for white label items
  • Better support for windows o/s devices
There are very few scenarios where the solution is less suited. However, if an organization is device-specific with just iOS Devices, there are other less complex solutions available if the said organization has basic security requirements.
Any organization looking for a well-organized granular solution will find IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson to be the perfect fit. Having worked for a different MDM Vendor in the past, it is very clear that this solution not only provides the levels of granularity needed to address numerous security requirements, the level and quality of support behind the curtain are outstanding.

We use IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson to manage our company iPad's. This allows us to manage every aspect of the device. We are able to centralize the deployment of apps to the devices. Users no longer need to keep up with Apple ID credentials. We can track devices if they are lost and wipe them if needed.
  • App Management
  • Deployment features
  • Ease of use.
  • Can be cost prohibitive
  • Interface can be cumbersome at first
For organizations with strict security and compliance requirements, IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson provides comprehensive security features such as mobile threat defense, secure containerization, and app distribution controls. This makes it well-suited for organizations that require strict security and compliance controls. Organizations with limited budget may find that IBM Security MaaS360 with Watson is a premium solution that may not be suitable for their limited budgets. There are other MDM solutions available that may be more affordable for such organizations.

While coming to an association that arrangements with windows and macintosh as well as cell phones overseeing them under an MDM product is hard. while this MaaS360 gives a viable answer for this. And furthermore is extremely convenient to deal with lost and taken cases by locking and cleaning information effortlessly.
  • I like that a strong stage offers an excellent UI, is cloud-based, and can oversee corporate gadgets.
  • The capacity to deal with all of the iPads we oversee pretty consistently.
  • Easy Onboarding option.
  • It's a decent instrument, yet a portion of the capacities, such as working with iOS gadgets, is very little incredible, likewise with different contenders like MS items.
  • Specialized help could be better.
  • You might encounter issues for certain gadgets.
When you select a customer group and revive the data on the customer group page, the refresh returns you to the full list of customers instead of just refreshing the list of customers within that group. In cases where you need to set up blocks, it can be done very well on any phone, and the separation feature is phenomenal.

We use MaaS360 mainly in our operations department which consists of people in the field almost all work day. We decided to go with it to solve the issue of people using their own iPads on job sites then having work info on the device when leaving the company. In addition it solves the issue of people handing in company iPads with personal Apple passwords on them making them virtually impossible to unlock and use.
  • Their on-boarding program is sensational and it really helps you get up to speed on the use of the software.
  • The portal used to manage the devices and settings is professionally designed and runs very smoothly.
  • IBM goes out of their way to provide help and documentation for the period after on-boarding.
  • In using it for 6-8 months I have found no issues with the workability of the functions that can be run on the tablets and phones.
  • The website has oh-so-many options that it can be overwhelming when it comes to finding the option or policy you want.
  • After log-in they have a "Dashboard" web page that shows you important info about your devices but many of the errors do not have the appropriate links to rectify them.
  • Their process to wipe an iPad could be better. Post-wipe it still shows up in the list of devices as waiting for something to happen to it so it can be a bit confusing.
MaaS360 is suited well both for small shops and some medium-sized shops where the goal is to mostly manage company-run devices. Its smooth running web portal makes changing items happen quickly and for the most part, except for wiping machines, most items flow smoothly and make sense. The ease of use is good for the smaller shops that do not have a lot of time to spending on training. Conversely I am not sure MaaS360 is a great choice for large shops or shops that intend on having a lot of BYOD users. To use it effectively you have to request the user go into the MaaS360 app and agree to some items and that is not always an easy task with BYOD.

We use MaaS360 specifically for iOS mobile device management. The most useful features for us are security profiles and device location checking. It includes many other features such as update management, app deployment, and remote wiping. We are able to link MaaS360 to our Apple device enrollment program account so devices purchased from Apple automatically get added.
  • Security profiles - apply settings templates to devices rather than manually configuring
  • App deployment - select apps to automatically be deployed on a device
  • Device inventory - maintain list of hardware information and associate it with enterprise users
  • Remote wiping - Even when properly configured, remote wiping of company owned devices is not always successful. In these cases, a case must be opened directly with Apple (not IBM) to prove ownership of the device and wipe it.
  • Poor performing website - Using the web interface for MaaS360 can be frustrating, and some pages don't load or submit changes without reloading and starting over.
  • Not intuitive design - MaaS360 inherently deals with complicated concepts, but the service interface could be much more straightforward. Training and tutorials are pretty much required for any task.
IBM MaaS360 is a powerful tool, and it is capable of providing mobile device management for most types of devices, including Windows computers, Apple computers, Windows phones, Android phones, and Apple phones. Security profile templates can be set up per device type or per employee type, allowing detailed granular control over settings and services on each end user device.

Unfortunately, MaaS360 is difficult to use and can be very frustrating. The biggest frustration by far is that remote wiping sometimes fails. In cases where an end user signs into iCloud on an Apple device, their password is required before the device can be used again. Remote wiping should bypass this, but only if it works. When remote wiping fails, the only way to use the device again is by filing a case with Apple and proving company ownership, a process which can take weeks and requires time and effort.

MaaS360 was used as our organizational MDM for some time before deploying another solution. MaaS360 was used for our Work at Home force to keep all company devices managed and configured for end users. Business problems-wise, this solved several issues we required as far as locking the machine for transit and verifying the device had been unlocked and reporting back to us.
  • End user ease of use and silent operation
  • Admin interface is clean
  • Device reporting
  • Admin management and customization
  • Searching web portal for computer information
  • Sending remote commands could sometimes take hours or not send at all
If you are managing a small fleet of local computers MaaS360 will work well to suit your needs. However, if you are working with a large fleet with remote users the program begins to not be as efficient for your needs as it could be. From my experience working with over 1000 Macs this solution was not up to the tasks at hand.
